Terms & Conditions
At Cairns Luxury Guides, we pride ourselves on delivering personalised, high-end experiences. The following terms are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and the smooth delivery of your journey with us.
1. Payment Terms
A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking.
Full payment must be received no later than 14 days prior to your scheduled departure date.
Cairns Luxury Guides reserves the right to cancel any booking where full payment has not been received within this timeframe.
2. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change; however, due to the bespoke nature of our tours, the following cancellation terms apply:
14 days or more prior to departure: Full refund
Within 14 days of departure: 80% refund
Within 7 days of departure: No refund
3. Amendments & Changes
Requests to amend bookings are subject to availability and at the discretion of Cairns Luxury Guides.
Additional costs may apply depending on the nature of the change.
4. Itinerary Flexibility
Our tours are carefully curated; however, conditions in Tropical North Queensland can be dynamic. Cairns Luxury Guides reserves the right to alter itineraries where necessary due to:
Weather conditions
Road or access closures
Safety considerations
Environmental or operational factors beyond our control
Any changes will be made with the intention of maintaining the quality and integrity of your experience.
5. Operator Cancellations
In the unlikely event that Cairns Luxury Guides is unable to operate a tour:
Guests will be offered an alternative experience where possible, or
An 80% refund of monies paid
6. Guest Responsibility & Acknowledgement of Risk
By participating in a tour, guests acknowledge that:
Certain activities may involve inherent risks associated with outdoor environments.
They are physically and medically fit to participate.
They will follow all instructions provided by the guide to ensure safety.
Guests participate at their own risk to the extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cairns Luxury Guides, its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for:
Personal injury, illness, or death
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
Delays, disruptions, or changes caused by external factors
This includes, but is not limited to, events such as weather, natural disasters, third-party actions, or government restrictions.
8. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. This should cover:
Cancellation and curtailment
Medical expenses
Personal belongings
Travel disruptions
9. Force Majeure
Cairns Luxury Guides shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Extreme weather events
Natural disasters
Pandemics
Government actions or restrictions
